What is a Christian Focus Timer?
A Christian focus timer helps you work with intention while keeping faith at the center of your day. It combines protected focus time with peaceful prayer breaks.
Instead of scrolling during breaks, you pause to breathe, pray, and read a Bible verse. It helps Christians who struggle with anxiety, distraction, and burnout stay productive without feeling guilty.
How it works:
1. Set your rhythm: choose any focus time you need - 15, 25, 50 minutes or more. Click the gear icon to adjust.
2. Focus with gentle rain and harp sounds.
3. Take a prayer break to read a verse like Matthew 11:28 - “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
4. After 4 sessions, take a longer break to pray or walk.
Many Christians use this timer for Bible study, remote work, college homework, and morning devotionals. Praydoro was designed for believers who want to work for God, not just work harder.
It is free, works offline, has no ads during focus time, and you can install it as an app on your phone. Start your first session today and turn your focus into worship.
A gentler way to protect your attention
Productivity can easily become another source of pressure. Praydoro takes a different approach: choose one meaningful task, work on it for a defined period, and then step away on purpose. The timer does not grade your performance or ask you to build a perfect streak. It simply helps you return to the work in front of you.
During a Peace Break, the breathing prompt creates a small boundary between effort and rest. A short passage of Scripture then gives the pause a clear direction. You can receive another verse, share it with someone who may need encouragement, or return to your task when you are ready.
Practical ways to use Praydoro
For Bible study: set a focused reading period, keep a notebook nearby, and use the break to pray about one truth you noticed.
For school or remote work: write one specific task in Smart Tasks before starting. A clear task such as “outline the first section” is easier to begin than a broad goal such as “finish the project.”
For anxious days: choose a shorter focus period. A faithful ten minutes still counts. The goal is not to ignore anxiety, but to create a calm next step while remembering that your worth is not measured by output.
Built around privacy and simplicity
Praydoro does not require an account. Timer preferences, tasks, mood selections, and progress stay in your browser's local storage. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings. Learn more in our Privacy Policy or read how the focus rhythm works.
